Antonia Carter better known as Toya aka Lil’ Wayne’s Baby Mama, is back with a new series “Toya: A Family Affair”, a spin-off of BET original series “Tiny & Toya”. The show is set to premiere Tuesday, April 19 at 10:00 p.m. EST (that's 9pm in Dallas) on BET. Viewers will continue to follow Toya on her fearless journey as she attempts to carve out a personal and professional path for herself, while dealing with her troubled family together and the perils of street life. Dallasites and fans worldwide were initially introduced to Toya during Season’s 1 and 2 of “Tiny & Toya”.
BET’s spinoff show will be full of surprising and challenging moments as Toya continues to balance her life while supporting her mother through drug addiction and helping her four brothers: Walter, Rudy, Casey, and Josh, navigate through critical turning points in their lives. The eldest sibling, Walter, recently released from a 10-year prison term is determined to turn his life around; Rudy is playing when he should be serious about continuing his education; Casey is learning the importance of fatherhood at a very young age, and Josh is dealing with the growing pains of everyday life. Surrounded by her loved ones, Toya welcomes a new relationship with the potential of marriage to music mogul, MempHitz while balancing the challenge of raising her 11-year-old daughter with hip hop superstar Lil’ Wayne, Reginae. With the compassion of a superwoman, Toya finds herself overcoming the odds and reaching unimaginable heights.
“Tiny & Toya” had a respectable following with close to 3 million viewers and was the number one BET original series “premiere” in 2009. The series gave viewers a look into the lives of Tameka “Tiny” Cottle and Antonia “Toya” Carter while highlighting their personal strengths and commitments to staying true to themselves.
